Welcome to a new season at Ramme in Hvitsten!

The guided tour takes you through the fairytale Havlyst garden where the original Ramme farm is located, the history of Ramme Sanatorium and Edvard Munch's connection to Hvitsten.

This tour includes a trip to Nedre Ramme by the Oslo fjord, where Edvard Munch lived and painted from 1910 until his death in 1944.

At Ramme, Edvard Munch both lived and created in the spirit of vitalism. Here he worked on the motifs for the University of Oslo's Auditorium, and other motifs full of life and colour.

The trip goes on rough terrain and steep slopes. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes
